2017 Starts with a day at the races with Arts Alive Chicago Artists Tony Passero, Jerry Rogowski and Cyd Smillie each painting a mural in the concourse area of the Hawthorne Race Course.

BuildOn students at Car Schurz High School in Chicago paint a memorial mural to honor Ahmed- their in country liaison in Burkina Faso who was killed by terrorists in 2015. Arts Alive Chicago provided supplies and design help with artist Cyd Smillie.
Artist Tony Passero brought his colorful world to life in a new mural at Six Corners with the help of Jerry Rogowski. Tucked behind Jeff’s Red Hots on Cicero it adds color and fun while while it shields the wall from graffiti.
This Gateway Mural is designed by Jill Arena to highlight the businesses and attractions in the Six Corners area.
