Working with the remarkable adults and campers at I Grow Chicago in Englewood, Cyd Smillie paints her mural “What We Create” to honor women and all they do. This mural was inspired by the women’s march earlier this year and features images of many of the neighborhood’s women and girls.
Artist Tony Passero brings his paint and playfulness to the dingy underpasses of Kedzie at Belmont. Familiar forms and new techniques charge across the walls in two facing murals: RAM ZEL and TORO TOTEM . This follows his colorful JAG LEO on Cicero.
