AAC’s Cyd Smillie Paints WHAT WE CREATE

Working with the remarkable adults and campers at I Grow Chicago in Englewood, Cyd Smillie paints her mural “What We Create” to honor women and all they do. This mural was inspired by the women’s march earlier this year and features images of many of the neighborhood’s women and girls.

  1. To:Cyd Smillie,
My name is Diane Louis. I am a board member of the Northcenter Neighborhood Association (NNA). One of our efforts is to help businesses and nonprofits to revitalize our neighborhood.

There is a specific project I am currently organizing that involves a business on Lincoln across from the Blue Sky Bakery . It would entail some painting on the side of a metal building and a very rusted overpass. Also perhaps paint a small sign.

I do not know how busy you are but if you know another artist who may be available for this project please have them email me. I very much would appreciate your assistance!
If you have any questions please let me know.
    Thank you so much!
I look forward to hearing from you!
